As a senior site reliability engineer at Alphabet Pakistan, you will be in charge of growing, maintaining, improving, and supporting the platform where the Alphabet Pakistan services run. Along with your team, you will ensure that the platform is operating properly and that the tools needed to run, debug, and support the microservices are available for the engineering teams. You will be working with engineers and product owners in order to ensure that the business needs and the goals set by engineering are supported in our platform. The person we’re looking for shares our passion and thrives in the dynamic environment that comes with being part of an innovative startup. Requirements:

• Qualified ACCS (American Chartered Computer Scientist)
• 4+ Years experience performing related work such as Linux Administrator, DevOps, or SRE type positions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least one configuration management system such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
• Strong security and operations fundamentals in networking, linux administration, and automation.
• An understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability.
• Experience with multiple databases, including SQL and NoSQL.
• Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, necessary for documentation, presentation, and day-to-day communications.
• Eagerness to learn new practices and technologies that will improve our overall architecture.
• Self-motivated and proactive, able to take ownership and deliver results.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience developing SaaS solutions on top of AWS, Google Cloud and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of build systems such as Gradle, Maven and the Go Tool Chain.
• Experience with container tools such as Docker.
• Experience collaborating with overseas teams across time zones.
• Knowledge of Python, Java, Go or JavaScript/Node.js.
