Position: Program Manager (GBV)

COUNTRY PROGRAM MISSION
The American Refugee Committee (ARC) is an entrepreneurial humanitarian organization that assists displaced people to move from vulnerability to resilience, from impoverishment to well-being, and from exclusion to inclusion. Since 2002 ARC has been providing humanitarian relief and development assistance in Pakistan through meaningful engagement with refugees and internally displaced people, innovative human-centered programs, and rigorous attention to outcomes. ARC provides multi-sectorial programs that include primary and reproductive health, health clinic management, GBV programming, water and sanitation, shelter, and emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
§ Provide technical support to maintain high quality program inputs and outputs in the Protection / GBV in program implementation
§ Provide technical support to new program development, including assistance in conducting assessments, etc.
§ Ensure that all programs are gender-sensitive
§ Collect data and figures from field team and compile and submit monthly quarterly and annual reports of ongoing project to Country Manager.
§ Supervise GBV and protection related field activities (Current & future) under the directions of Country Manager.
§ Ensure that protection staff (including implementing partner team members) are properly trained and equipped to do their jobs.
§ Assign tasks & duties to Protection / GBV field staff regarding monthly work plans
§ Manage and assist in implementation of work plans for GBV and protection related activities in coordination with the District Coordination
§ Ensure proper documentation of Protection / GBV project
§ Maintain records and supply chain to youth clubs & skill centers
§ Prepare weekly reports on GBV/Protection activities and contribute to ARC donor reports
§ Conduct Field Visits as advised by the supervisor.
§ Attend any meeting / training / workshop / conference as suggested by the Supervisor.
§ Contribute practically and by bringing new ideas for improvement of service delivery at field.
§ Focus on GBV activities with the close coordination with filed team like ORW, MT for bringing improvement in GBV program of ARC.

Relevant Experience:
The candidate preferably shall have a Masters Degree in Gender Studies, Psychology, Human Rights or development with 5 years experience of protection, GBV and Development sector or must have expanded experience and minimum of Bachelors degree.
§ Client centered approach for handing GBV and protection cases
§ Developed sense of client privacy and sharing of information for GBV/Protection cases
§ Counseling skills
§ Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
§ Familiarity with local languages and customs and tradition will be an advantage.
§ She must have ability to work under extreme pressure, in difficult conditions while maintaining security awareness.
§ Solid computer skills in relevant software packages (MS office, MS), and should be able to work in multi-cultural environment.
§ The candidate must have good writing and speaking English skills and knowledge of English, Urdu, pashto, and other languages spoken in the region.
