THE POSITION

We are looking for 2 intermediate SQA professionals, with strong expertise and experience in manual testing. Automation knowledge (a plus) or at least have a desire to learn automation.

As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you’ll be reporting to the QA Manager and you’ll be responsible for functional and regression test execution of IDS G2 core system, .NET web services, add-on modules and mobile applications. Your role is to assure all development deliverables are quality tested and meet our business standards and conditions prior to being placed in production.

The successful hires will be located and work out of the Contour Software Lahore office, working as part of the resource-center team, as an extension of the division-based R&D department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review functional specifications for assigned features and defects
• Prepare test plans, test cases, and test status reports for required projects/enhancements
• Create, review, update, and execute test plans incorporating both positive and negative test scenarios
• Execute functional and regression test cases, log and manage test plan execution and report on progress
• Create and manage defects resulting from test plan execution
• Assist development with defect investigation, reproduction steps, and resolution
• Participate in daily Scrum meetings, Sprint reviews, Release Reviews, Retrospectives and other meetings as required 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 4+ years’ experience in a Quality Assurance Environment
• Agile QA Best Practices; Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA, ISTQB certified) 
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle 
• Strong business/accounting process and product understanding 
• Clear and concise verbal, written and interpersonal skills including the ability to work in teams 
• Strong analytical capability and troubleshooting skills to de-bug products according to company’s QA process and methodologies
• Knowledge of defect management and related systems (Visual Studio Team Services/VSTS preferred)
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail with an ability to take work direction and communicate effectively

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Experience with Financial (Accounting) systems
• Knowledge of SQL and SQL Queries (to verify results using DB queries, if required)
• Knowledge of XML, web services, and related tools (e.g. SoapUI)
• Knowledge of mobile application testing
• Automation knowledge would be an asset

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
