Institute of Early Childhood Education and Development (IECED)
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, coordinate, and monitor the quality of Educational programming and services provided by all program options
- Guide implementation of educational plans, standards, and procedures consistent with Program Performance Standards
- Provide strength-based coaching and support to subordinates teaching, lead program assessment and professional development strategies for staff to meet
- Assist teaching staff to structure environments, routines, and interactions that contribute to positive social-emotional outcomes for the children and families in a program.
- Conduct CLASS observations and review, analyze, and evaluate child outcome data; make recommendations for continuous quality improvement.
- Participate in the process to help staff develop plans to improve their environments and teaching practices to support children’s growth and development, and overall program quality.
- Assume lead responsibility for parent involvement in education services
- Develop linkage agreements and maintain relationships
- Work collaboratively with Director /focal person IECED, educators to comprehensively meet the needs of children.
- Provide training to parents and staff.
- Participate in the hiring process of new teaching stafff
- Promote the culture of reflection and self-initiated evaluation/assessment
- Have experience in planning and preparing appropriate activities on monthly basis and managing a diverse team of personnel
- Have effective implementation of work plan as per the available resources.
- Ability to search, design and plan day to day activities for parents and children.
- Aware about child rights and safety measures in early year
- Natural and caring attitude towards young chilldren
- Enthusiastic to lead a team that works for the betterment of young children

Traditional gender roles in Pakistan especially in NWFP, which remains indulged in tribal culture, define the woman’s place as in the home and not in the workplace, and define the man as the breadwinner. Consequently, the society invests far less in women than men. Women in NWFP suffer more from poverty of opportunities throughout their lives as compared to other provinces. Economic vulnerability is a key factor in the rise of poverty in Pakistan; vulnerability also arises from social powerlessness, political instability, and ill-functioning institutions. Corruption and political instabilities such as various separatist movements in Baluchistan and Waziristan resulted in reduction of business confidence, deterioration of economic growth, reduced public expenditure, poor delivery of public services, and undermining of the rule of law. The root causes of current unrest in whole country especially FATA and FRS are linked with the absence of the opportunities for youth in all sections of life in general and particular in livelihoods. Active participation of the youth in decision making and development of the area is neglected and never given a chance to decide their fate. This made youth of the area frustrated and restless and compelled them to take part in the unhealthy activities. Poverty and the lack of modern curriculum have proved destabilizing factors for Pakistani society as these causes our youth to be exploited by religious organizations banned by the government to run schools and produce militant literature.
